‘ Opportunities and Challenges in Laboratory Medicine ’
For the first time, the College of Pathologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia will be holding its 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting (CPath2019) in Kuching on 27-28 June 2019. This event is jointly organised by the Departments of Pathology of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
This marks the first time the meeting is held in Cat City (Kuching), Sarawak.
The theme for this year’s annual scientific meeting is ‘Opportunities and Challenges in Laboratory Medicine’. It will highlight on the existing challenges and possible opportunities in our respected fields as well as updates on the advances and innovations in diagnostic pathology.
The organising committee has drafted a comprehensive two-day scientific programme covering the various aspects of medical laboratory medicine. We are inviting about 20 prominent international and national speakers to grace this event. We hope this educational meeting is able to bring the experts from various aspects of laboratory medicine (histopathology, chemical pathology, haematology, medical microbiology, transfusion medicine and forensic medicine) to share the challenges and latest knowledge in their respective discipline. As this will be the first scientific meeting of this nature to be held in East Malaysia, it presents a great learning opportunity for doctors, nurses and paramedics from various medical laboratory disciplines, especially those from East Malaysia.
We believe that this meeting will provide a platform for all of us to refresh our knowledge and to directly learn from the experts on their approaches to diagnostic dilemmas. It is also an opportunity to meet up with old friends, make new networking with leading researchers and experts against the backdrop of Sarawak River.
